Shortlisted against Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and Free Agent, Capium won the Small Business Accountancy Software of the Year award. We caught up with them to see what they had to say about their big win.
Congrats guys! How does it feel to win?
It’s still sinking in, we’re pinching the award every day to check it’s real! We are truly thrilled to have won the big one as are our customers. It reinforces that our platform is making waves and cutting a course through the MTD-doldrums. Even just to be shortlisted alongside the big names that were up for this award was an honour.
What will winning the award mean for Capium?
It goes a long way to reassure the Accounting market that Capium listens, and is the Small-Mid Sized Practices’ preferred choice for accounting software. The market is changing at a rapid pace and accounting firms embarking on their journey are going from strength-to-strength by moving their business to the cloud. We are proud to support them and they are proud they have made the right choice in backing Capium.
What advice would you give to anyone entering the awards, or thinking of entering the awards next year?
Capium has entered the awards for the last few years. It’s hard putting yourself out there and suffering defeat, but every year our team, product and customer base has grown stronger. It tastes even sweeter to finally win and that’s made the journey worth it.
What does accounting excellence mean to you?
It means not settling. For so long the accounting market has stood still and accepted what has been on offer – we don’t live by that dogma – and we’re excited that a new standard of accounting will accelerate this market forward.
