Congratulations to our London Bridge members ClassPass, who just hit unicorn status with a $1 billion valuation after closing a $285 million Series E round.

The round was led by L Catterton and Apax Digital, alongside existing investor Temasek, bringing its total funding to date to $549 million.

Classpass was founded in 2013 and has since become the worlds largest fitness and wellness membership platform. Last year they scaled to 28 different countries, spanning 650 employees across 5 continents. The platform works by partnering with over 30,000 boutique fitness and wellness studios, allowing users to try as many classes as they want to without having a membership.

The company plans to use the funding to continue its growth into new countries, as well as scaling its corporate wellness programme which currently includes Google, Facebook and Glossier as partners.

Wishing them the best of luck in their journey! Read more about the funding round here
