It’s been a very busy few months on the Runway with our Ground Crew in Bristol one day and Barcelona the next so here, trying to make vague sense of all the madness, is our Q3 roundup.
The Runway Team jetted off to Barcelona
First things first – we went on our holibobs! A couple of weeks back, one fine Friday morning the Runway East team were whisked off to Barcelona for a strict schedule of scavenging, scheming and, for some of the team, snoozing. When Nico wasn’t catching forty winks in the back of las barras however, the RWE team spent the valuable time getting to know each other aided by sangria and sun. The highlight of the trip was Sonia and Nico’s awesome scavenger hunt, which took in animals, Chinese restaurants, Andy lookalikes and lots of lipstick. The second day saw a somewhat quieter, more sedate team take a boat trip around the harbour before returning to the streets of Barcelona. For your viewing pleasure, see the winning scavengers below!
The RWE Bristol Launch Party and Sca-venture Hunt
On Thursday 11th October we officially cut the ribbon to our West Country Terminal with a double-do; The Official RWE Sca-venture Hunt followed by the Official RWE Bristol Launch Party. Officially. Both events were a massive success and mirrored what is clearly a thriving and exciting tech scene in Bristol bursting with energy. Read all the glorious details in our blog post here.
Ready, get-set, Soho!
Not wanting to be overshadowed by our Bristol Crew, we wanted to create a little fanfare over here at our new Runway HQ – Soho. With our new members already behind the door at 68 Old Compton St, no one has wasted anytime getting to know the area and, with some of London’s best food and drink on offer, who can blame us? Find more info out on Soho here.
Things are moving fast out in London Bridge too, and you can read a first-hand account of the space here.
The Ground Crew gains a few
Our brand new Talent Acquisition Manager Johanna has wasted no time bringing in some awesome people to the team. In Soho at Runway HQ we’ve welcomed in Ella, Amelia and Max as well as our new Community Assistant Jade in Shoreditch… Nice to have you onboard! It’s just as well given all our new members – from the co-living community Lyvly to the music and sound consultancy Goldstein.
Last Thursday our Shoreditch Happy Hours took on a special, seasonal look as our famed Halloween Party kick-started the weekend. Led by our inimitable compère Gorgeous George the night saw plenty of fierce competition – hanging donuts were attacked in Eat My Donut, allegations made in Musical Chairs and the Finance Department soundly beaten on the pool table. Catch the RWE Team in all its glory below:
