London Bridge mixes its old history and new modern buildings so seamlessly, you'd have thought it was always that way. The bars are diverse, whether you're looking for after-work drinks, cocktails, or craft beers, there really is something for everyone. Nestled in the streets surrounding the railway station and Borough Market you'll find some of the best bars and hangouts right in the heart of London.

Updated for 2021, we've put together our top 5 bars and pubs in the area, perfect for a team night out, an after-work drink, a catch-up with friends, or an intimate date night.

Vinegar Yard

A Runway East favourite, the Vinegar Yard should be at the top of your list of places to visit in London Bridge. Pop-up shops, art installations, street food trucks, and epic views of The Shard, this bar has something for everyone. Its spacious outdoor beer garden is perfect for group bookings and enjoying those sunny London afternoons.

Flat Iron Square

Looking for great food, delectable drinks, and live music? Well, Flat Iron Square is just that. This all-encompassing bar come restaurant come music venue is one of the more recent additions to the area and is set across seven railway arches in London Bridge. Flat Iron Square boasts a huge beer garden and a wide variety of food vendors and restaurants, so it's perfect for big groups!

The George Inn

This pub dates back to the 1700s, where it was an inn for the travellers on the London trade route. From its low wooden beams to its traditional interiors, The George is full of charm and history. With a large courtyard beer garden, take a seat, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy some of the best craft beers and food on the menu.

Bunch of Grapes

Sitting right next door to Runway East Borough Market, Bunch of Grapes is a great spot for those looking for a couple of drinks close to London Bridge station. With their regular beer rotation and classic pub grub, there's something for everyone. They've even got a heated outdoor terrace, so this pub can be enjoyed all year round.

Wheatsheaf

This iconic pub is found in the heart of the infamous Borough Market. Wheatsheaf hails some of the best craft brews in the area and really comes alive during after-work evenings. With a great drinks selection, a delicious menu, and an unusual (in the best kind of way) beer garden it's no surprise that this pub has become a favourite in the area.

The London Bridge area is home to so many great pubs that it was really hard to narrow it down to just our top five. But if you're looking for a bite to eat or a spot for after-work drinks in London Bridge and the surrounding area, make sure you check these ones out.
