The Gentlemen Baristas, Park Street
The most British coffee shop on this list, The Gentlemen Baristas offer 'well-mannered coffee' in a friendly cafe on Park Street.
This cafe is perfect for meetings outside of the office, with an all day food menu of irresistible shareables to indulge in — think classy cheese platters and charcuterie boards.
£2.70 for a flat white? That morning caffeine fix never seemed so easy!
Monmouth Coffee Company, Park Street
Monmouth Coffee are the coffee experts. They use single-origin, fairtrade and sustainable beans from India to Colombia.
The cafe has been around for 30 years and is a champion of fair-trade coffee beans for just as long.
The decor of the cafe is minimalistic and gives the place a spacious and airy atmosphere. It also comes equipped with super fast WiFi making it a great alternative to the office to switch things up.
WatchHouse, Bermondsey Street
WatchHouse is a lovely little place with a slice of London Bridge history.
Named after the watch house built for soldiers guarding St Mary Magdelene's Church, the owners have kept and preserved the original features of the octagonal building.
The single-origin coffee is also amazing! Grab a pastry for those quick lunchtime dashes between meetings, maybe even treat yourself to an espresso martini after work on a Friday!
Chapter 72, Bermondsey Street
Chapter 72 is a tranquil cafe-bar run by a friendly couple on Bermondsey Street.
The duo make a mean flat white in the day and have mastered their espresso-based cocktails, so much so that they run espresso martini classes in the evenings!
Settle into this woody and warm cafe with a croissant, or grab a pick-me-up anytime you're in Bermondsey.
Crol & Co, Newcomen Street
Crol & Co is another fantastic coffee shop in SE1 with an interesting history.
Set in an old betting shop with authentic Victorian floorboards and brickwork, the roastery owners are also antique collectors and have included some amazing artefacts and decorations.
Along with food, cocktails, wine, and craft beers, they serve amazing coffee in their restaurant and relaxing outdoor seating space.

Roasting Plant Coffee, Borough High Street
Roasting Plant Coffee is a small but international chain making an immersive coffee-making experience with their Javabot. Pick up to four varieties of beans for your own custom blend!
The beans are displayed and ground before your eyes, whirring around the cafe as they're roasted in tubes.
The beans are roasted and ground daily giving you an always fresh espresso, and it's one of the only cafes that offer three sizes for an extra-large cup of joe.
Three Wheels Coffee, Shard Arcade
This espresso bar might provide a quick hit, but it's got a story long in the making.
Celebrating the joint history of coffee and bicycles, this coffee shop was inspired by the founder’s trip through South America, hitching a professional espresso machine to his tricycle.
The idea was brought home to London, using fair trade coffee beans from South America to power the espresso bar set up in the Shard Arcade.
This is the drink destination for the Shard's professionals, and a good coffee choice if you want to feel like a proper Londoner.
London Grind, London Bridge
This is a chain that's dominating the city, with cafes in Covent Garden, Liverpool Street, Shoreditch, Soho, Whitechapel, as well as London Bridge.
As well as a coffee bar, London Bridge Grind includes a restaurant, serving food from avo-on-toast to risotto and burgers all day.
Neon signs and a chic list of turmeric, beetroot, and charcoal lattes make this a trendy and popular coffee shop choice, but it's also a spacious and relatively chill spot to settle in to and get some work done during the week.
The London Bridge location is right between Borough Market and the Bridge itself if you fancy a stroll along the Thames afterwards!
Lantana Coffee, Southwark Street
Lantana Coffee is an Australian coffee shop and restaurant serving up the country's diverse blend of food culture.
Their vegan and veggie brunch options are abundant, with everything from maple fried toast to Indonesian fried rice.
Lantana feels light and breezy, bringing the Australian attitude to a converted 18th century building and their delicious single-origin coffee beans to the city.
Black Sheep Coffee, Southwark Street
Black Sheep Coffee is an independent coffee shop with cafes across London and Manchester.
The shop uses a range of specialty coffee beans, including a world-first 100% speciality grade robusta coffee bean from India.
Our favourite drink is the Black Hoof which is loaded with espresso, coconut oil, cinnamon and microfoam.

What’s included in the price?
Our pricing is all inclusive, so as well as access to your own private office space, your price includes business rates, utilities, cleaning, tea and coffee, a program of professional and social events for your team, and (all importantly), Cake on a Wednesday and a Drinks Trolley on a Friday.
What will my quote include?
Your quote will include all currently available office space that meets your requirements, along with the information you need to decide if we might be right for you - images, floorplans, and full details of our services.
Do you offer free meeting room access to members?
Yes, if you become a member with a private office at a Runway East site, you get free meeting room access for your team across 100+ meeting rooms we have, with industry leading allowances. To make sure members use space fairly, overages are charged only in the event you go over your allowance.
I have specific needs - can you meet them?
Almost all our members have specific needs - and we pride ourselves on aiming to meet them. Reply to your quote with them, and we’ll give you a speedy response - or call us on 0203 1379 953.
How long are your office space agreements?
Our standard pricing is on 12 month terms, but if you want a shorter or longer agreement, those are also available, with custom pricing to reflect your commitment level.
Can I customise my office?
Yes - we have a range of office customisation options you can choose from, and we want to deliver a great environment for your team. Options include your logo on the wall, to your own phone booths in office, through to building meeting rooms and custom requirements.
