The first thing visitors to Bristol may notice is the abundance of bars, bridges and amazing food places.

Trying to find a balance between reliable lunch spots and novel places to try from time to time can be challenging with so much on offer in the city. That’s why we’ve decided to make a little guide of the best work lunch spots in Bristol!

When choosing a location to open our flexible working spaces, easy access to some of the tastiest eating places was a deal breaker. Without further adieu, here are our favourite work lunch spots!

Adelina Yard - Queen Square

Adelina Yard is a wonderful place to eat if you’re looking for fine dining in a casual environment.

Bristol chefs Olivia Barry and Jamie Randall whip up the most delicious Modern European food in their beautiful central space near Queen Square.

With a large selection of continental cuisine and a vibe to match, Adelina Yard is perfect for a work lunch or client meeting, with three-course lunches for as little as £38.

Root - Wapping Wharf

Root is located in the exciting new Wapping Wharf area of Bristol.

Overlooking the harbour, the restaurant is set in the Cargo compound alongside a wide selection of eateries, and is a lovely place to go for a light solo lunch or a Friday feast with colleagues.

Root boasts a delicious selection of small plant-based plates for a tapas-style experience with a variety of British produce. Excellent for casual and sociable dining, whether you’re celebrating the end of a big project or starting a new journey with a potential client.

Mud Dock Cafe - Harbourside

Mud Dock Café is a perfect choice if you want a classic food menu (think burgers, salads and chips) for your business lunch.

Located on Bristol Harbourside, this cafe has a rustic and nautical interior with a homely atmosphere that would make the perfect backdrop for the sweet sounds of sea shanties.

With a selection of food that appeals to all tastes, Mud Dock Cafe is a reliable choice if you and your crew can’t decide on a particular cuisine!

We came for: An easy, relaxed lunch

We stayed for: The dog-friendly environment (lots of furry snuggles!)

Ivy Clifton Brasserie - Clifton VIllage

If there exists a starter pack for designing a chic neighbourhood, Clifton Village would tick all the boxes.

The Ivy Brasserie sits perfectly within the bohemian aesthetic of BS8, with a beautiful art-deco restaurant that is perfect for wowing clients and colleagues.

Their colossal menu includes dishes such as Twice Baked Stilton, Walnut Souffle and Lobster Linguine, with a starter, main and dessert for every pallet.

The eclectic variety of bespoke cocktails are also attractive for those late lunches that unintentionally turn into early after-work drinks!

We came for: a lunchtime Friday feast for 3

We stayed for: afternoon munchies and cocktails at 4!

Klosterhaus - Cabot Circus

Cabot Circus usually isn’t the first place you'd think of in Bristol to head for a unique work lunch.

However, D&D London's Klosterhaus have opened an adorable anglo-german restaurant right inside the shopping centre.

The restaurant-bar has three event spaces and an outdoor terrace to accommodate the many characteristic atmospheres of the city.

The sheer size of this restaurant makes it an ideal place for those last-minute work meetings and business lunches where perhaps a booking wasn't on the cards.

Pea and mint soup followed by a vegan currywurst? Coming right up. With plenty of drinks and cocktails, you can feast and have fun to your heart's content!

We came for: The classic taste of the British Isles

East Village Cafe -  Clifton

The most charming place in Bristol for delicious vegan sandwiches, cakes, and coffees with a perfect atmosphere for a quick meeting or a quiet lunch, East Village Café will leave you feeling better than you did before you sat down.

Perfect for satisfying a plant-based colleague or client, whilst also within walking distance of some of Bristol’s most beautiful and unique architecture, including Clifton Suspension Bridge.

St. Nicholas Market - Central

You can’t go wrong with St. Nicks. The market is home to tons of tasty street food from all over the world for those lunchtimes where you’re on the go.

Spicy szechuan? You got it. Short of time on a taco tuesday? St. Nicks will sort you out!

We stayed for: the aromatic carnival of international cuisine

Bristol's restaurant, food and drink scene is wonderful and energetic.

There are new pubs, restaurants and cocktail bars popping up a stone’s throw away from Runway East Bristol Bridge and Temple Meads all the time, so you’re never short of a new location to take a special guest to.

From Cotham Hill to Gloucester Road, the Bristol food scene reflects the abundance of choice as a Bristol-based professional.

What’s included in the price?

Our pricing is all inclusive, so as well as access to your own private office space, your price includes business rates, utilities, cleaning, tea and coffee, a program of professional and social events for your team, and (all importantly), Cake on a Wednesday and a Drinks Trolley on a Friday.

What will my quote include?

Your quote will include all currently available office space that meets your requirements, along with the information you need to decide if we might be right for you - images, floorplans, and full details of our services.

Do you offer free meeting room access to members?

Yes, if you become a member with a private office at a Runway East site, you get free meeting room access for your team across 100+ meeting rooms we have, with industry leading allowances. To make sure members use space fairly, overages are charged only in the event you go over your allowance.

I have specific needs - can you meet them?

Almost all our members have specific needs - and we pride ourselves on aiming to meet them. Reply to your quote with them, and we’ll give you a speedy response - or call us on 0203 1379 953.

How long are your office space agreements?

Our standard pricing is on 12 month terms, but if you want a shorter or longer agreement, those are also available, with custom pricing to reflect your commitment level.

Can I customise my office?

Yes - we have a range of office customisation options you can choose from, and we want to deliver a great environment for your team. Options include your logo on the wall, to your own phone booths in office, through to building meeting rooms and custom requirements.

Are Runway East expensive?

We provide a range of options for all budgets, and always aim to work with your budget where we can. If we can’t meet your needs - we’ll be upfront about that with you from the start.
